Arab Cultural Center to Be Opened in Armenia

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–A meeting took place January 24 between Armenia’s representative to the United Arab Emirates Arshak Poladian and that country’s Minister of Culture Sheik Abdallah Ben Zayet Al Nahayan–who also happens to be the son of the UAE’s president.

Plans on establishing an Arab Cultural Center in Yerevan were discussed. The minister told Poladian his government is prepared to take necessary steps at the establishment of such a center. Sheik Abdallah said he plans on visiting Armenia during the course of this year to iron out details on the center’s opening.

The two also discussed bilateral cooperation between their respective countries and touched on regional issues.
