“Hayastan” Fund Helps Resolve Water Supply Problems in Stepanakert

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–The issue of supplying the city with potable water is among the biggest problems of the NKR capital. Since the end of active military operations in the Karabakh conflict zone–the All-Armenian Fund ”Hayastan” has been dealing with the issue. In particular–within the frames of the special program of constructing a circular system of Stepanakert’s water supply–the Fund constructed–during the period of 1997-1998–the first pipeline of more than 7 kilometers long–which cost over $300.000. The pipeline was constructed with the help of the Armenian communities in Canada and Holland.

Along with 2 reservoirs with 2,000 cubic meters each–pumping stations were also constructed in the capital.
