YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The beginning of May will mark the opening of Greek Culture Days in Yerevan. The agreement was reached during President Kocharian’s visit to Athens last year. Armenian Culture Minister Roland Sharoyan and Greece’s Ambassador to Yerevan Panayotis Zografos met last Friday to specify some organizational and technical issues regarding the Culture Days.
According to preliminary arrangemen’s–within the framework of the Culture Days–5 Greek movies will be presented in Armenia’s top cinema house Moskva with simultaneous translation into Armenian. An exhibition of Byzantine icons will open in Armenia’s National Picture Gallery–and the Greek Politechno theatre will perform Samuel Becket’s "Waiting for Godo" at Yerevan’s Paronian Theatre.
Zografos said that his country’s deputy foreign minister is likely to visit Yerevan to open the Culture Days.
