BSEC Business Council to Try to Promote Closer Cooperation With Armenian Businessmen

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Black Sea Economic Cooperation Business Council Secretary General Kosman Masmanidis met with Armenian businessmen on March 5.

The mentioned the structure of the BSEC deals with problems of assisting businesses in BSEC-member countries. Among the goals of the Council is enabling the eleven members of the BSEC to get better acquainted with one another–to help develop joint business plans and realize them.

Speaking at a meeting at the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia–Masmanidis said that it is necessary to present Armenia to the world–in particular its human–energy and mineral resources. The Council will try to promote effective cooperation with national business structures.

According to Masmanidis–his meeting with Armenian business circles pursues the goal of specifying the possibilities of local business structures and rendering technical assistance to them. The Business Council has a web page on the Internet presenting information about nearly 2,000 businessmen of the BSEC and about their businesses. Armenian businesses may also have themselves featured on this site.

Stating that Turkey and Greece have vast possibilities of financing business programs today–Masmanidis suggested that Armenian businessmen’should deepen relations with these countries. He gave assurance that the Business Council could help the Armenian side in the matter of developing business programs in the spheres of energy–transportation and construction.
