Swedish And Lithuanian Labor and Employment Experts in Armenia

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–A team of Swedish and Lithuanian experts in labor and employment have arrived in Armenia on a two-week visit to provide local experts with consulting and other help.

The foreign experts are scheduled to have meetings with Social Security Minister Razmik Martirosian–and employees of the regional labor and employment centers.

The visit was stipulated by a 1998 agreement between the Armenian government and Sweden. The Swedish and Lithuanian experts have been assisting their Armenian counterparts to draft an efficient and feasible labor and employment policy–to design new ways of working with the unemployed–to make long-term evaluations regarding the labor market–to initiate social rehabilitation of the disabled through introduction of Swedish experience in this area.
