Samuelian Appointed to Crimestoppers Board

FRESNO–Steve Samuelian–District Director for 19th District Congressman George Radanovich has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Fresno Area Crimestoppers. Samuelian filled the vacancy of newly elected Fresno City Councilman Jerry Duncan who resigned from the Crimestoppers Board to take his City Council seat. Councilman Duncan then nominated Samuelian for his previous board post.

Crimestoppers is designed to encourage citizens to call the anti-crime hotline to report information leading to the arrest and conviction of dangerous criminals. Rewards are given to citizens who meet the criteria. The program is overseen by a Board of Directors of twenty community leaders from the Greater Fresno Area. Crimestoppers is sponsored by NBC affiliate KSEE-24–The Fresno Bee–and The Infinity Radio group.

Samuelian is active in community affairs serving on the Board of Directors of the Fresno County United Way–where he currently is Chairman of the Leadership Giving Campaign for 2001. Samuelian is also a member of the State Republican Party Executive Committee–the Armenian Studies Board at Fresno State University. He is a 1999 graduate and Class President of the Fresno Chamber of Commerce’s "Leadership Fresno" Class XVI.

Samuelian resides in Clovis with his wife Houry–and their nine-month-old son Shant Yeremia.
