YEREVAN(Noyan Tapan)–During a Friday hearing of the October 27 trial–presiding Judge Samvel Uzunian verified receipt of two letters from the Parliamentary Interim Commission on the October 27 case. One of the letters asks the court to provide the Commission with documen’s–the other letter suggests discussing the issue of moving Nairi Hunanian from the isolation ward of the Ministry of National Security.
Judge Uzunian said the first letter failed to specify what documen’s are needed by the Commission. As for the request of the second letter–Uzunian–referring to the Code of Criminal Procedure–stated that the Interim Commission is not a party to the trial–therefore its petition is not subject to consideration.
Agreeing with the judge’s ruling–prosecuting attorney Ruben Sahakian pointed out that only the injured party has the right to file a petition.
