John Kossakian Named Ferrahian Principal

ENCINO–The Board of Regents of the Prelacy Armenian Schools Tuesday announced the appointment of John Kossakian as the new principal of the Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School.

Kossakian has a Master’s degree in international relations from University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from UCLA.

From 1986 to 1990 he was manager of the Asbarez Daily Newspaper–taking over the Executive Editor position there in 1990. From 1996 he also was the Executive Producer of Horizon Armenian Television.

"We have great confidence in John Kossakian’s administrative capabilities–as well as his years of experience as a leader in the community. Having received his education here in this country–we are confident that he will be able to lead the advancement of the educational aspects at Ferrahian Armenian School–the first Armenian day school in the United States," said Board of Regents chairman Armand Keosian–Esq.

In its announcement issued Tuesday–the Board of Regents congratulated Kossakian on his appointment and wished him continued success in his new endeavor.
