LOS ANGELES–Famous Armenian artists–pianist Vartan Mamikonian and conductor Peter Ounjian will perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra at Hollywood Bowl’s 2001 Summer Concert Season.
Vartan Mamikonian will perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at 8 p.m. on Thursday–August 16.
The orchestra will be conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya–and will perform works by Tchaikovsky–Rachmaninoff–Shchedrin/Bizet–and Rimsky-Korsakov.
Peter Ounjian will conduct the LA Philharmonic Orchestra at 8 p.m. on Tuesday–August 28.
The concert will feature the 29th and 38th symphonies of Mozart. Ounjian will conduct the orchestra on Thursday–August 30–featuring more music by Mozart.
On Thursday–September 6–the Los Angeles Philharmonic will present Aram Khachatourian’s violin concerto.
The participation of Armenian artists at the Hollywood Bowl is always a source of pride for the Armenian community of Los Angeles.
