Armenia Admitted Into The Conference of European Civil Aviation

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– Minister for Coordination of the Industrial Infrastructure’s Activities–David Zadoyan–said Armenia was the first of the Transcaucasian countries to become a member of the Conference of the European Civil Aviation–during his August 15 meeting with Chairman of the organization Alfredo Roma.

During the meeting the two discussed the issues of current development of civil aviation in Armenia and the commitmen’s assumed by Armenia as a member in the organization. The two also discussed the important role of air service and civil aviation both in the integration of European countries and in carrying out regional–political–and economic tasks. Roma said that most of these problems will be discussed at a conference of the organization which will be held in Paris this October.

The sides also discussed the issue of Armenia’s admission to the European Council of Ministers of Transport.
