Harvard Gives Archives to Genocide Museum

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Armenian Genocide Institute/Museum located in Yerevan has received some 200,000 pieces of archive materials from Harvard University which contain memories of the US missionaries about the Armenian Genocide.

The head of the North American Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church played a major role in bringing the archive materials to Armenia.

The Institute’s director Lavrenty Barseghian said it has received about 18,000 pieces of materials regarding the genocide over 5 years of its establishment. About 15,000 pages of materials were received from the government of Germany–and another 8,000 pages were received from Austrian museums.
