Cilician Catholicosate to Take Part in Orthodox Talks

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–On behalf of the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia–V. Rev. Nareg Alemezian (Ecumenical Officer) and Rev. Krikor Chiftjian (Director of the Communications Department) will participate in the Coordinating Committee for dialogue with the Russian Orthodox Church on September 3-6–2001–in Moscow.

The topics of the discussion include an introductory presentations on the Russian–Coptic–Syrian and Armenian Orthodox Churches–with a special reference to the history and contemporary witness of the Armenian Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia–explanations on the Christological agreemen’s signed by the official representatives of the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches in 1989 and 1990–and exploration of various ways for pastoral collaboration.
