President Lauds Lemmon’s Contribution to Armenia US Ties

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian met with US Ambassador Michael Lemmon on Thursday–who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The Ambassador was grateful for the fruitful and cooperative accomplishmen’s they had made during his term as Ambassador. He said that he regrets leaving Armenia after having such a pleasant and accomplished experience there.

Robert Kocharian appreciated and was very grateful for Lemmon’s contributions to the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries. It is very important to Kocharian that the consistent aid for carrying out reform programs that have proved successful be maintained. The Armenian president also acknowledged and appreciated the Armenian Investor Conference held last May in New York with the support of US Trade and Development Agency and World Bank. He said the event was a considerable step in exhibiting the country’s business potential to the world.

Kocharian wished the diplomat success in his future and expressed his confidence that Armenian-American relations will continue to develop successfully.
