YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Embassy of Germany in Armenia denies the information of the Turkish newspaper Hurriet–according to which the "German parliament refused to accept for discussion the question of recognition of the Armenian Genocide–following the German Foreign Affair Ministry’s appeals…" According to the German Embassy in Armenia–claim 019260 submitted to the Bundestag for consideration–was discussed on April 4–2001 at the Commission on Claims–which submitted a corresponding conclusion on the problem. Then the claim’s text and the conclusion-suggestion were transferred to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) for learning the opinion of the latter. At the same time–according to Armenia’s MFA Public Relations Department–a decision was made to return to the claim in six months for the discussion of the answer from the Federal Government.
