TBILISI (Armenpress)–A senior Pentagon official Mira Barata will arrive in Georgia on Tuesday to meet with senior officials of the Georgian foreign and defense affairs ministries and the national security council and discuss ways to strengthen military cooperation between Georgia–Turkey and USA.

According to Georgia’s deputy Minister of Defense Gela Bezhuashvili–this visit is sure to instigate American-Georgian-Turkish co-operation. Issues dealing with the contribution of the Georgian army in the struggle against terrorism will be discussed.

Mira Barata and a group of Turkish generals will take part in the presentation of the "helicopters project," under which Georgia have got six helicopters from the USA. The agreement costs more than $10 million–including the preparation of pilots.
