Armenian Chamber Orchestra Recognized

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Armenian State Chamber Orchestra returned to Armenia from a recent visit to the US–where they performed for the Armenian-American and American crowds at New York’s Alice Hall.

Orchestra director–Armen Arabian said the performances were extremely successful–and said they played six encores. The orchestra was invited to perform in San Francisco and Fresno in the coming year.

Alice Hall is the chamber music hall–which is part of New York’s Lincoln Center together with Metropolitan Opera House and Carnegy Hall.

The year 2001 was an important year for the orchestra. They performed in seven different countries and received invitations to return to all of them in the future.
