CIS Culture Ministers Establish Culture Development Fund

BAKU (Armenpress)–A regular session of CIS countries’ council on cultural cooperation will be held in Baku on December 18-19.

According to Azeri Ministry of Culture–the CIS countries’ culture ministers will discuss cultural development program–but the main issue will be the establishment of a fund for CIS countries’ cultural development. The Russian and Azeri ministers of Culture will discuss the details of the Days of Russian Culture–which will be held in Azerbaijan in April of 2002.

Meanwhile–interstate corporations of CIS–industrial and financial groups–regional enterprises–leasing and insurance companies participated in the interstate exhibition held in Moscow dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of CIS establishment on Monday.

The exhibition illustrates the stages of CIS development programs–the achievemen’s of CIS during the last ten years–and the creation of terms by which businessmen will be allowed to develop further cooperation.

Armenia–Azerbaijan–Belarus–Kazakhstan–Kirghizia–Moldova–Russia–Ukraine and Tajikistan participated in the exhibition. The exhibition provided an opportunity for the participants to hold business meetings to further cooperation.
