YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The former mayor of Yerevan and a member of the "Karabakh" Committee Hambartsum Galstian killed seven years ago on December 17 would have been 46 on December 14.
Although his murder case has not been closed yet–his mother–Anakhaz Galstian–is sure that the investigators know who the murders are. When Galstian was assassinated–he was preparing a report about the Armenia’s corrupt government officials whose jobs are directly connected the nation’s economy. Galstian’s murder was believed to have been a motivated–ordered and planned murder.
Galstian’s mother recalled that her son felt an uneasiness around him. He told his wife that he felt that something was going happen to him. According to Anakhaz Galstian–his murder was directly connected to Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s brother–Telman Ter-Petrosyan–who is now dead. "Everyone knows that Vano ordered his murder (the ex-minister of the Interior Vano Siradeghian)–and Telman was the one who carried out the murder," she stated adding that in spite of her statemen’s–the Prosecutor’s Office never sought any information from her.
