UAF Sends $324 Million in Aid to Armenia in 12 Years

GLENDALE–The United Armenian Fund completed 12 years of operations–delivering to Armenia a total of $324 million of humanitarian assistance on board 115 airlifts and 741 sea containers.

During the past fiscal year alone–the UAF contributed to Armenia more than $32.5 million of aid–consisting primarily of medicines and medical supplies. In this period–the UAF had revenues of $35.3 million–according to the audit of its most recent financial statemen’s by the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen LLP.

The audit revealed that the UAF spent only one percent of its total revenues on administrative expenses–allocating the remaining 99 percent for assisting the people of Armenia.

The UAF is the collective effort of the Armenian Assembly of America–the Armenian General Benevolent Union–the Armenian Missionary Association of America–the Armenian Relief Society–the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America–the Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America–and the Lincy Foundation.
