Indian Ambassador Donates Instrumen’s to Yerevan Conservatory

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Indian Ambassador to Armenia–Bal Anand–delivered an Indian national musical instrumen’s and eight CDs to the Yerevan Conservatory on behalf of India on Thursday.

In his speech the diplomat said that traditional friendship between the two ancient countries Armenia and India can be seen in various aspects of society in India and in Armenia. "There are many records that prove that Armenian and Indian people sang similar songs and danced similar dances," stated the Ambassador. Musical traditions and instrumen’s also testify to the fact that Armenian and Indian melodies and rhythms influenced each other.

After thanking the Ambassador for the valuable gifts–rector of Yerevan State Conservatory–composer Armen Smbatian assured the Ambassador that the gifts will strengthen the cultural ties and relationships between Armenia’s and Indians.
