Noted Academician Edward Atayan Dies

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Noted academician–linguist–teacher and philosopher Edward Atayan died on January 1. He was 70.

Atayan was a doctor in philology and vice-president of Armenian Philosophy academy. For decades Atayan made an enormous contribution to the field of education and science and has authored numerous books on the subject.

He was well-known for his commentary and articles–as well as translations of major works into Armenia.

Atayan received international recognition for his views and work on freedom and liberty.
