Kocharian Appoints New Ambassadors to Greece Germany

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenia’s President Robert Kocharian signed a decree on December 29 appointing Vahram Kozhoyan as Armenia’s Ambassador to Greece.

Kocharian also appointed Karine Ghazinian Armenia’s ambassador to Germany. Ghazinian served previously as Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania.

In Lebanon–the newly appointed Armenian Ambassador Areg Hovanisian presented a copy of his credentials to the Lebanese Foreign Affairs Minister Mahmoud Hamoud on December 28.

The public relations department of the Armenian foreign affairs ministry quoted the ambassador as saying–that Armenia highly distinguishes its relations with Lebanon. He spoke about the history Armenian-Lebanese friendship throughout the past century and the current diverse relations between the two countries.

Later–Minister Hamoud praised the Armenian community of Lebanon for its contribution to Lebanese society.
