Investigations of Corruption in October 27 Case Prolonged

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Artak Harutunian–head of the investigation department at the prosecutor’s office–said that the preliminary investigation into the separate part of the October 27 has been prolonged by another two months.

The separate part of the case is supposed to reveal the possible involvement of senior officials in the October 27 parliament killings–their negligence in carrying out their duties that day–and illegal arms possession.

Harutunian said the preliminary investigation had been prolonged because they did not complete the necessary amount of investigations.

He said none of the 4-5 floating theories have been dismissed yet. He added that numerous individuals were interrogated–including people who had not been questioned before.
