ARF Delegates Meet With US Ambassador Ordway

GLENDALE–A delegation of Armenian Revolutionary Federation members including Bureau member Viken Hovsepian–Western US Central Committee representatives Viken Yacoubian and Garo Madenlian–the editors of both Armenian and English departmen’s of Asbarez Daily and Horizon Armenian Television representative–Vatche Proodian and Ara Khachatourian–as well as Armenian National Committee representatives Steve Dedeyan and Raffi Hamparian met with the newly appointed American Ambassador to Armenia John Ordway on Monday at the Peshekerian Center in Glendale.

The meeting lasted over an hour–and the participants discussed the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement–the Armenian-Turkish relations in general (and with a special reference to the Reconciliation Commission) as well as other issues concerning American-Armenia’s.

Upon the Ambassador’s request–the ARF delegates presented the ARF’s stance on the issues they discussed. The delegates stressed that the ARF will accept any resolution that is accomplished after substantial–constructive and comprehensive dialogue.

Ambassador Ordway presented the US State Department’s stance on the issues–stressing the significance of multi-lateral discussions.
