Free Medical Aid Approved By Parliament

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The National Assembly of Armenia approved the distribution of free medical aid and services guaranteed by the government for 2002 during their Thursday session. The ministry of Health–The State Health Agency and the Social Security Ministry were acknowledged as the agencies required to provide the free medical aid to the countries health care facilities.

Minister of Health Ararat Mkrtchian told reporters that laws on the allocation of the funds were quickly approved and passed by the Parliament.

Free medical aid will be provided to the 1st–2nd and 3rd group disabled children–orphans–single mothers–families of servicemen who died fighting for Armenia–and about 500,000 socially insecure citizens.
