ITERA Will Not Cut Amount of Gas Supplied to Armenia

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–An agreement about continued supplies of gas ensuring the same amount before the settlement of the existing problems was reached with the ITERA company. ArmRosGazprom told reporters that as of February 1–the amount of gas supplied to the republic remains unchanged – 5.2 million cubic meters per day.

Earlier–some mass media–referring to the press service of "ITERA Holding" reported that Itera was going to reduce supplies down to 1.8 million cubic meters because of Armenia’s unsettled debts of more than $6 million for 2001. Moreover–Armenia has not yet paid $3.85 million for the current gas supplies and significantly increased its debt in the line of mutual settlemen’s on commodity deliveries. The aggregate debt of Armenian gas consumers to the Itera company is 34.6 million dollars.
