Fresno ANC to Honor Darmanian as Man of Year

FRESNO–The Armenian National Committee of Fresno chairwoman Hygo Ohannessian announced last week that this year the Armenian National Committee would be honoring Richard Darmanian at the annual ANC Central California luncheon. The luncheon is set for April 28 at 1 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel–Downtown Fresno. Richard Darmanian has served not only the Armenian Community–but also the entire San Joaquin Valley.

Darmanian started his career in 1952 by teaching mathematics–history and government at Roosevelt High School in Fresno. He served as principle at Edison High School and Hoover Highs Schools. He was also one of the founding members of the Armenian Community School. Darmanian has served as a board member on many Regional–Central and local organizations–including the Armenian National Committee of Central California–Board of Regents of Western Prelacy Educational Council–Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church–and the Fresno Exchange Club. Richard Darmanian is an extremely well deserved recipient for this honor.
