Armenian Opera to Be Staged At Bolshoi Theater

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The "Norma" opera recently staged in Yerevan by Director Boris Hairapetian will soon be performed in the Moscow Bolshoi Theater.

Director of the Alexander Spendiarian National Opera and Ballet Theater Kamo Hovhannissian announced that the corresponding departmen’s in Armenia and Russia are ready to assist the performance of the opera at the Russian Bolshoi Theater by all possible means–but they cannot meet all the expenses–which are roughly estimated to $100,000. Negotiations are now being held with patrons of art.
