Armenian Physiologist Wins International Competition

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Director of the Institute of Physiology at the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia–NAS Academician Victor Fanarjian’s work won the highest award at an annual international competition devoted to science and technology.

Announced by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology–910 works–including 196 from abroad–were introduced at the competition. The highest award of the competition–$5,000–was given to 4 research works. Among the top 4 was the work of Viktor Fanarjian–devoted to the research in the field of the central nervous system.

The solemn prize awarding ceremony took place in Tehran–on the day of the 23rd anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
