French Official Visits French University of Armenia

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–France’s Bouche-due Ronne Department’s Council Chairman Jean-Noel Gerini–escorted by Governor of Shirak Felix Pirumian–Armenian Ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian and French Ambassador to Armenia Anri Kyuni visited the French University of Armenia on February 12.

Welcoming the guests–the Chairman of the University Arthur Baghdasarian said that the French University of Armenia is a result of Armenian-French close cooperation in the spheres of education and culture. Baghdasarian stressed that the University gave an opportunity to Armenian students to study by European standards.

Chairman Gerini–warmly welcoming the students present at the meeting–stated that the future of each country is its youth. "Your beautiful country needs your care–which you can achieve only through the best education," he said. He also attached great importance to the creation of a retraining center in the University–which will help Armenian specialists improve. Gerini promised to organize the study of the University’s 30 students in the Marseilles University until October.

At the end of the meeting–Gerini was presented with the picture of Sevan Lake. In his turn–Gerini presented the University with an album of French paintings.
