Haidostian Appointed President of Haigazian University

BEIRUT–The Board of Trustees of Haigazian University announced the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Paul Haidostian as the next President of Haigazian University in Beirut–Lebanon–effective September 1–2002. The Rev. Dr. Haidostian will succeed the Rev. Dr. John Khanjian–who will retire in August 2002.

Dr. Haidostian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haigazian University–a Master of Divinity from the Near East School of Theology–a Master of Theology and a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton–New Jersey.

In addition to having assumed numerous leadership positions in the Armenian Evangelical community in the Middle East–and played a vital role in academic and ecumenical organizations locally and worldwide–Dr. Haidostian has been on the faculty of the Near East School of Theology (Beirut) since 1993–teaching courses in Pastoral Theology and Christian Ethics.

Dr. Haidostian is committed to the mission of Haigazian University–which focuses on academic and professional excellence–leadership training–and positive response to community concerns.
