Oskanian Stresses Latvian Armenian Relations

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Latvian Ambassador to Armenia Ajvars Vovers handed his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian on February 22.

At the meeting the two sides noted the importance of resuming and using traditional links between the two nations. Oskanian pointed out the great potential that exists in all fields that are not used their full–although–according to him–some intensification in relations between the two countries was recorded last year. The two also stressed the importance of developing relevant legislative field which will allow businessmen of the two countries to use the existing opportunities at maximum.

The ambassador and the foreign minister also paid great attention to the exchange of experience of the European integration process–particularly given the expertise of Latvia–which is preparing to accede to the European Union.
