Armenian Musicians to Participate in Italian Music Festivals

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–This summer–Armenian musicians will participate in the 4th International Choral Festival and the 50th Annual International Polyphonic Choral Festival that will take place in the Italian cities of Gorisa and Corso.

Grigor Voskanian–specialist of musical art in the Ministry of Culture–informed that only composers will participate in the International Choral Festival. The Choral Festival contest includes 5 categories: vocal–folklore–spiritual–jazz–and pop.

Voskanian said that vocal groups are to participate in the International Polyphonic Choral Festival. The vocal groups must consist of 6 and 12 people who will perform in the following categories: spiritual–polyphony–and children’s polyphony–and voice. Those who have applied for participation have to send their scores and video records to the organizers of the contest.
