Chinese Ambassador Completes Diplomatic Mission to Armenia

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"I am leaving Armenia as my native country and will be leaving some real friends behind," said Zhu Zhaoshun–Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Armenia–at a meeting with Gagik Aslanian–the Armenian National Assembly Deputy-Chairman. The ambassador is finishing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

According to the Armenian National Assembly Public Relations Department–Gagik Aslanian–highly estimating the three-year activities of the ambassador mentioned that the last achievemen’s concerning Armenian-Chinese relations were the direct results of the ambassador’s work.

Zhu Zhaoshun mentioned that while working in Armenia–he was proven that Armenia’s are intellectual and hard working–and cooperation with Armenia and Armenia’s is very advantageous for any country. The ambassador said he has made friends and acquaintances not only with political activists but with art workers and scientists as well.

The ambassador also touched upon the October 27 events–victims of which were his close friends Karen Demirchian and Vazgen Sargsian. The ambassador said they were "the most honest persons and strong political activists–who built not only the present but the future of Armenia."

In connection with the death penalty issue–the ambassador mentioned that the death penalty is not abolished in his country–and ministers and governors were convicted to death for crimes carried out by them. "I want to believe that in the case of the trial of the October 27 case justice will triumph and those who killed the best sons of Armenia will be punished."
