Madenataran Closed for Repairs

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Yerevan Institute of Ancient Manuscripts after Mesrop Mashtots–the Madenataran–has been temporarily shut down for 5 months for repair conducted within the framework of the Lincy Fund Culture Program. Madenataran director–Armenian NAS academician Sen Arevshatian said the roof–halls–basemen’s–storehouses–and other parts of the building will be repaired.

Arevshatian noted that the repair work was to begin last autumn but it was put off because of technical reasons–and added that in the summer–during most touristic season–the museum will be closed.
