“Caucasian Four” Security Councils to Discuss Regional Security

YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenia’s Defense Minister–Secretary of the Presidential Security Council Serge Sarkisian is scheduled to participate in the meeting of the security council secretaries of the "Caucasian Four" due to be held in the Russian resort town of Sochi March 27-31. Sarkisian told reporters that the meeting will discuss issues of regional security and cooperation of the Caucasian region’s countries.

The minister added that he had a telephone conversation with Russian Security Council Secretary Vladimir Rushailo. Rushailo is known to have announced that the secretaries would discuss issues connected with struggle against international terrorism.

Sarkisian also said that during the next 20 days he would participate in the conference of security council secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty participating countries to be held in Kazakhstan.
