Armenian Community Celebrates Easter

Churches from Glendale to Fresno to San Francisco were overflowing with parishioners who had gathered to celebrated the Feast of the Resurection of Jesus Christ–and in the church yards and the pews the traditional Easter greeting was heard and uttered.

Elsewhere–the holiday was celebrated in grand style at both Etchmiadzin and Antelias as His Holiness Karekin II–Catholicos of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin and His Holiness Aram I–Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilcia officiated over the traditional Easter Mass and the pageantry that makes the holiday a special one.
