Armenian Film Wins Prague Festival Honor

YEREVAN (Armenpress)–A movie by filmmaker Albert Mkrtchyan–entitled Happy Bus (Ourakh Avtoboos) won the grand prix honor at the Prague International Film Festival.

Mkrtchyan said that his film has already won eight awards in the international festival circuit. However–he said–he deemed the most important to be the state award of the Republic of Armenia. Sources close to Asbarez reported that a planned visit to the US by Nagorno-Karabakh Republic president Arkady Ghoukassian has been postponed.

Ghoukassian was scheduled to head a celebration marking the 10th anniversary of the liberation of Shoushi–which was to be held in Glendale.
