Armenian Azeri Spiritual Leaders Will Not Meet

BAKU (Armenpress)–A conference entitled "Religion in Caucasus: Cooperation For Peace" will take place in Tbilisi July 16-18. The spiritual leaders of the three Caucasian countries will also participate in this conference.

The Azeri 525th Gazet writes that the conference is dedicated to the role of religion in struggle against international terrorism. It is expected that at the end of the conference its participants will come forward with a joint statement condemning terrorism.

The press office of Caucasian Muslims’ leader’s residence reported that a meeting between Azeri spiritual leader Alahshyukyur Pashazade and Armenian Catholicos Karekin II is not planned.
