Christian Minorities Concerned About “Reforms” in Textbooks

ANKARA (Armenpress)–Turkish non-Muslim minorities are concerned about "reforms" to be realized in Turkish history textbooks–according to which–parts containing anti-Christian propaganda will be included.

Armenian Patriarch of Polis Mesrop II Mutafian–in his interview given to the Turkish Milliyet newspaper–said that propaganda against any religion in any country may damage the country’s international authority and negatively influence the economy. He also said that as a result of efforts taken in past for creation of hostility even these days people in Turkey in many cases continue to use the word "Armenian" as an insult.

Armenian Patriarch called on to clear the documen’s which are of a propagandistic aim from those components which may become a reason of hostility.
