150 More Families will Resettle in Karabakh

STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–During a press conference Wednesday–the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic minister of social security Lenston Ghoulian announced that $780,000 has been allocated toward the resettlement of Armenia’s in Karabakh–adding that by year’s end an estimated 150 families will resettle in various regions in Karabakh.

The minister stated that since the inception of the resettlement program–more than 1158 families (more than 4500) have resettled in Karabakh from Armenia and the Diaspora.

The government of Karabakh also encourages family planning and multi-children families–for which $815,000 has been allocated in social services.

Compared to 1999–the government social serving allocation for family reproduction has increased four fold. A similar increase is also seen in government allocations for the disables and individuals requiring government assistance.
