Annual Pilgrimage to Tatev Monastery

Over 4000 individuals from Tavriz–Nor Jugha–Tehran and other regions participated in the annual pilgrimage to the St. Tatev Monastary located in Adrbadakan–Iran. The event–which took place between July 25-27–was led by the vicar of the Adrbadakan Armenian Church–Reverend Nshan Topuzian–and member of the Antlias Monastary–Reverend Vroir Demirdjian–who was chosen by the Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia–Aram I.

During his sermon delivered on July 26–Reverend Demirdjian stressed the importance of faith for the Armenian individual. On the following day–Reverend Topuzian presented Catholicos Aram I’s welcoming message to the participants and noted the significance of maintaining strong ties to the religion that Apostles St. Bartholomew and St. Thaddeus spread throughout Armenia during his sermon.

Also present at the festive ceremonies were member of parliament Levon Tavtian and Adrbadakan regional assembly chairperson Edik Gasbarian.
