Sergey Khathatrian of Armenia won the silver medal and $15,000 at the 2002 International Violin Competition held in Indianapolis. He is 17 years-old.
Barnabas Kelemen from Hungary who is 24–snapped up the gold medal and received the top prize of $30,000.
Their victories came after more than two weeks of rigorous rivalry with 40 other young violinists from 20 nations.
