Armenian Delegation Leaves for Tbilisi

TBILISI (Armenpress)–An Armenian delegation–led by Yerevan mayor Robert Nazarian–left today for the Georgian capital of Tbilisi to participate in the opening ceremony of a restored pantheon for Armenian writers and public figures.

The pantheon was constructed in Tbilisi in 1930s and serves as a burial place of famous Armenia’s.

The restoration of the pantheon was realized through the efforts of the city halls of Yerevan and Tbilisi–and was financed by the presidents of Armenia and Georgia.

The decision on the joint restoration of the pantheon was made by the mayors of Yerevan and Tbilisi last March.
