ATHENS–A Greek translation of historian Vahakn Dadrian’s book "History of the Armenian Genocide" was presented in Athens on November 11. The presentation–organized by the Armenian National Committee of Greece and Stochastis Publishing–took place at the Hellenic Journalists Union.
Greek Parliament Speaker Apostolos Kazaman’s–Armenian ambassador to Greece Vahram Kazhoyan–state and public officials as well as ARF Greece Central Committee members and representatives of the Armenian community attended the presentation. Armenian Minister of Science and Education Levon Mkrtchian was also present at the event.
The presenters underscored the importance of studies on the Armenian Genocide and praised Dadrian for his great contribution to the issue of the Armenian Genocide–stressing the necessity of the Greek translation of this book.
In his speech–Vahakn Dadrian spoke on the historic fact of the Genocide–Turkish denial–and factors contributing to Turkey’s anti-Armenian policy. With his book–he said he has tried to open new horizons for future research and efforts of researchers.
