Harry Sagoian ARS Benefactor Passes Away

Two months ago the ARS of Western USA lost one of its benefactors–Mr. Harry Sagoian at the age of 96–at a Convalescent home in California.

Harry Sagoian–who had asked the ARS to take care of him until the time of his death–donated his house in Joshua Tree to the ARS.

Mr. Sagoian lived alone on his property that he built over the years; he never completed construction–however. He was legally blind–and alone living on top of the hill.

A good neighbor–Dory–took care of his old neighbor until it was time to go to the hospital. ARS members would visit him and deliver the Armenian foods he craved.

Going through his personal files–the ARS regional board discovered that Mr. Sagoian was not a man without opinions; he wrote correspondence to US presidents discussing political and environmental issues.

His will instructed his wishes after death–which the ARS followed.

The ARS appeals to all community members–who would like to will their estate to the ARS–that the organization stands ready to undertake preparation of every document to prepare a legal will.
