House of Commons Canada Begins Work on Genocide

CANADA (– The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the House of Commons of Canadian Parliament passed a resolution on Wednesday calling on the House of Commons to recognize the Genocide of Armenia’s by Ottoman Turkey in the early 20th century. The proposed resolution–which initially met with opposition by several Canadian congressmen–was eventually passed by a margin of 9 to 8.
