Arkady Ghoukassian Visits Peshekerian Center

GLENDALE-The President of Mountainous Karabagh Republic (MKR) Arkady Ghoukassian and his delegation paid a visit to ARF Western USA Central Committee and ANCA-WR offices at Peshekerian Center in Glendale–where they were greeted by Homenetmen’scouts at the entrance of the building.

ARF Bureau member Viken Hovsepian–the entire ARF Central Committee–members of Armenian National Committee Western Region (ANCA-WR)–young activists–as well as individuals and patriots who consistently provide support to ARF activities greeted Ghoukassian.

Republic of Armenia Consul General Valery Mkrtumian–presidential advisor Naira Melkumian–MKR representative in Washington Vartan Barseghian and All Armenia Fund executive director Vahan Ter Ghevondian composed the President’s delegation.

The group first visited ANCA-WR offices; Chairman Steve Dadaian briefed the delegation on recent ANCA accomplishmen’s–stressing the establishment of the California Regional Trade Office in Armenia. The office–he stated–will help to identify new markets and boost the economies of Armenia and Artsakh.

"I know how important your work is–" remarked Ghoukassian–" Armenia and Karabagh hold potential in the hi tech sector–more so than other nations. I realize how much your efforts help in the realization of these goal for the future of Armenia and Artsakh. Armenia’s future is tied to Artsakh. It is important that we are recognized as a country and as a people. The full potential of Artsakh can be achieved with your help," added Ghoukassian.

The delegation was lead upstairs to ARF Shant Student Organization and AYF offices where they met with the staff.

ARF Bureau member Viken Hovsepian and ARF-WR representative Hovig Saliba officially welcomed the president and his delegation.

Ghoukassian thanked the group for the warm reception and praised the Tashnagtsoutiun for its profound efforts in the region.

After the reception–the delegation and all those attending were ARF-WR Central Committee’s guests for dinner where the meeting continued–in a relaxed and warm setting.
