Los Angeles Events to Commemorate Armenian Genocide

The following activities are scheduled–in the Greater Los Angeles area–to commemorate the 88th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide:

1. Requiem service at the site of the Armenian Genocide Monument in Montebello–with the participation of Armenian clergy.

2. A general walkathon in Hollywood–following the Requiem service–this will be a peaceful demonstration of our united front for a just cause–to gain the support of local communites.

3. A youth rally at the Turkish consulate–in protest of the many atrocities inflicted on our nation at the turn of the 20th century. Leaders will demand to meet with the Consul General–to hand him a letter of reprimand.

Fellow compatriots–we beseech you to close down your workplaces or get permission from your employees to be absent that day–so that you can all participate in these important activities.
