ARF and HRAK Leaders Discuss Cooperation

YEREVAN (ARF Press Office)–Senior officials of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) and the Ramgavar Azadagan Party of Armenia (HRAG) met at the ARF Simon Vratsian center on July 30 to discuss a wide range of issues. Participating were ARF Armenia Supreme Body (SB) Representative Armen Rustamian–SB members Spartak Seyranyan and Ardavasd Darbinian–and newly elected HRAG co-chairmen Haroutioun Arakelian and Mekhag Gevorgian.

Rustamian congratulated Arakelian and Gevorgian on their election and proposed cooperation between the two parties in ensuring constitutional reforms–amending Armenia’s controversial election law–and fighting corruption.

HRAG officials said they view the ARF as a political partner that will put forth the views and suggestions of their party both in the parliament and in the coalition government. The sides reviewed Armenia’s internal political situation–post-election issues–and recent developmen’s between Armenia and Turkey–and agreed to strengthen their cooperation by way of joint efforts.
